Genoveva Fernández was born in Madrid in 1964.
Education
- 2020-2022: Master's Degree in Art Therapy by ISEP (Institute of Psychological Studies), Madrid
- 2013-2016: Attends artist Kim Lieberman's open studio in Arts on Main, Johannesburg, South Africa.
- 2005-2006: Full academic year at the Institute of Fines Arts Surikov, Moscow, Russia
- 2002-2005: Post Baccalaureat studies in drawing and painting at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Washington DC, United States, with teachers such as Judy Southerland, Steve Cushner, Tom Morris and Mary Delpopolo.
- 2005-2007: Painting workshops organized by Corcoran teachers Judy Southerland and Mary Delpopolo in Montorno, Italy.
- 1983-1988: BA and MA in History of Art Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

- March 2013-2016: Opens the Art Studio in Pretoria where she teaches drawing and painting.
- November 2013-March 2016: Holds drawing and painting workshops for children in Morija, Lesotho.
- August 2009-2014: Co-teaches with Judy Southerland in the Montorno Summer Workshops, Italy, organized by the Corcoran School of Arts.
- September 2009-2012: Opens the Art Studio in Madrid where she teaches drawing and painting, as well as summer workshops.
- September 2006-June 2008: Co-founded the Art Studio in Moscow, where she was the head of the drawing and painting courses, and organized seminars on art related matters.
Genoveva Fernández has lived in Algeria, El Salvador, Brazil, the United States of America, Russia, South Africa and Morocco, and she currently lives and works in Madrid.
